Deborah works from a small studio in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, where she creates contemporary silver and mixed metal jewellery with a clean and distinctive style.

Her debut work, ‘Mangrove Co2llection’ is inspired by issues of global warming after a recent trip around the mangrove forests of Guadeloupe. The collection explores themes of protection and carbon capture and includes different styles of ring, bangle, necklace and ear wear, inspired by the magnificent shapes and undulations of the mangrove roots.

Deborah is especially interested in alternative ear adornment and enjoys the creative possibilities opened up with this experimental approach to dressing the ears. Cuffs, climbers and statement ear pieces are often prominent features within her collections.

Deborah was recently awarded the ‘Jan & David Roberts award for emerging talent’ at Art& York in 2017, and her work has been featured in two BBC TV Drama Series, ‘Death In Paradise' and ‘In The Club’

Deborah studied for a UAL Diploma in Art and Design- Jewellery, at The Manchester College, graduating with a distinction in 2015. Whilst studying, she was presented with the Rowena Golton Memorial Award for Creativity  and won a place on the Goldsmith Centre's Undergraduate Summer school.

Deborah continues to develop her techniques and practice with regular workshops and courses with renowned makers and training providers including Alchimia Jewellery School in Florence, The Goldsmiths Centre,  K2 Academy and Cockpit Arts in London and In the Studio Training, (East Midlands, now Spain)
